Pretend Parents

Scott and I babysat his boss's baby last weekend. She was so precious- little Annika, and Scott put her to sleep no problem!! He is so amazing with children- I'm sure it had something to do with all the brothers. Look at this little angel though! I could have just eaten her up!

Happy Birthday Andrea!

Me, Andrea and Jen-known each other since freshman year!

the whole group! Scott had a CFP class- boo.

Last week it was my friend Andrea's 25th birthday. Her friend Julie threw her a dinner party with yummy food and friends!! There is nothing I love more than friends and food!! And my Diane Von Furstenburg halter that I am wearing here!! What a great night.

i DO NOT heart finger pricks

I've decided to make my blog a little more personal and write about my everyday. Today, I had to go to the dr and have my diabetes test. I have been dreading this finger prick since I found out I was pregnant. Now I know what you are thinking. "Didn't you have your blood drawn a few weeks ago? Didn't you give blood willingly to the Red Cross on numerous occasions?" The answer to both of these questions, respectively is yes. The problem with the finger prick is the surprise jolt you get when the stick you with the thumbtack. All in all it did not make me happy.

The Fourth of July

So much fun! We had a BBQ at our house and had tons of food, fun and friends! We BBQ'd at our house then walked down to the beach for some great fireworks. All in all it couldn't have been better.

David Sedaris

Two of my closest friends surprised me and took me to go hear a book reading of my FAVORITE author- David Sedaris. He writes collections of hilarious autobiographical essays like Me Talk Pretty One Day and Naked. He is so funny, I often find myself laughing out loud while reading his books. The reading was at UCLA, and the best part of the night was when we lined up and he SIGNED MY BOOK! He also called me a "fox"- not to worry Scott- he's gay. All in all it was a perfect night.
