Our Love is Forever

Your Love Life is Like The Princess Bride

"Since the invention of the kiss, there have only been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind."

For you, love is like a fairy tale - albeit a fairly twisted one.
You believe romance is all about loyalty, fate, and a good big of goofy fun.

Your love style: Idealistic yet quirky

Your Hollywood Ending Will Be: Perfectly romantic

Night in Vegas- lifetime of memories

For my sister's 21st birthday, a few of us rented a van and drove to Vegas for the night. We walked 4 miles from our hotel to the strip, went to McDonald's at 5 a.m. and had a wild, rowdy time. We had so much fun with our friends and my sister, but we all slept only about an hour and a half before we had to turn around and come back home. You know what they say, what happens in Vegas...

Newest member of the Cheo household!!

We have just gotten a new puppy, which we named Delilah. She gets along really well with our other puppy, Mr. Big, named for the notorious character in Sex and the City. Now we have a boy and a girl!! We are so lucky. Isn't she adoreable!

Breakfast at the Cheo's

Last Sunday, my best friend Tiffany and I thought it would be fun to have breakfast with our men. It was a gorgeous morning and we moved the table to the living room so that we could gaze at the beach while we ate. It was the perfect day. I made scones the night before and they turned out delicious! Then we made omelettes and talked. It was so much fun. Please excuse the bed-head in all of the pictures!

First Day of School!!

This week my summer ended and I started teaching my charming, witty junior highers again. It was great to be in the classroom again, and ironically I've been informed that in addition to my normal English and History subjects, I will also be teaching Geometry. Like I didn't hate it enough the first time I took it. Some exciting news, I will also be the ASB advisor, so that is going to be really fun. As if that's not enough, my poor, overworked hubby has been studying like a madman for his series 7 and I think it's his 60 (?) licenses. This will enable him to do investments and stuff, I think. We have barely had time to touch base this week. Hopefully I can keep up with it all. I am also beginning to write my book. I haven't come up with a title yet, but I do have about 60 pages of good material so far. I've been working so hard!! If there are any suggestions for a title, please feel free to let me know. Something witty that will get people's attention preferably.

End of Summer Bonfire!

Summer's really over, but just before the busy fall and winter kick in, we had to have one last get together with a few friends. We had a fun night, even though I do get a little crazy whenever the music is being played. And apparently, my husband has something against using a skewer for his smores. Scotty is always the entertainment for the evening for sure!

Let me tell you a little somethin about me...

If my life were just but a dream, I know that I would wake up and say that I really lived. I sometimes wonder, if it is even possible for one life to hold so much weight, but as I get older, the trivial, unimportant pettiness falls away, and the substance is left, and I love what is there. The essence of who I am cannot be defined, contained, or kept down. I find deepest fulfillment in even the smallest of treasures, and for this I am eternally grateful. Simplicity and variety can both exist if one has the innovation to discover them. The urge to spread my excitement, and even sometimes, downright elation for life is unfathomable. My heart swells within me with truth I cannot describe. Love above money, time above gifts, truth above ignorance, an open mind above complacency. I run through the sprinklers in my bare feet and wonder if life can get any better. Peace is attained in hearts first, and then in actions, love is born when you least expect it. Somehow, life’s twists and turns are perfectly straight in hindsight, and the purpose that we need is shown to us in the heart of another. If this happens, and we can recognize it, then we can consider ourselves truly lucky.

Tahoe Extravaganza

Labor Day just happened to fall on my dearest friend Christine's birthday this year, and it just so happens that my friend Megan's cabin in Tahoe was free that weekend! Us girls took a roadtrip up to Tahoe (10 hour drive) and we had an absolute blast. We laid out, took hikes, barbequed, drank, and just had a grand ole time. Unfortunately, Scott couldn't come because he just got a promotion at his job and had to study like a madman that weekend. I missed him so much, but from the pictures, he could tell he wouldn't have gotten a lot of studying done. Girls + a 10 bedroom cabin + a lot of time = C-R-A-Z-I-N-E-S-S!! Check out our 80's rock band!
