Merry Christmas To All

I was too busy making dinner and being a mom too take many pictures but here is a shot of our bebe on her first Christmas. She is too yummy.

Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve we attended a candlelight service with my folks, and then for a traditional Christmas Eve dinner... at Mimi's Cafe. Ha, ha, no really. We went to Mimi's Cafe. We go out to dinner every year, because my mom and I are OVER cooking two huge meals in a row. So we guiltlessly pay for a lovely dinner and guess what? We don't have to wash a single dish. (except for in my case, Scott doesn't have to wash a single dish. That's right girls... my hubby does the dishes. He looks sexier in the apron.)

Wait, who's work party was this?

Wells Fargo forced us once again this year to attend another awkward social Christmas Event. Has anyone seen The Office? Luckily I enjoy parties enough to have a good time, no matter who I'm with, and I really actually do like his coworkers and their spouses. It was also an excuse for me to fit into some of my old pre-pregnancy clothes, I'm on my way to my old self. We had a lovely time, and I liked being told how hot I am and shown off by my husband. He kept taking pics of me, which explains why at his party, there are only pictures of me. It's nice to be adored.

A Themed Party? Yes please!

The Annual Girls Christmas Dinner that I throw every year took place at Cedar Creek Inn in San Juan and it was a gas! (that description was tribute to the 80's song by Blondie that goes, "once I had a love, and it was a gas!" ... that wordage always annoyed me and I thought I would annoy all of you with it) The gift exchange theme his year was "health & beauty." I received hand beauty products from the Body Shop and an OPI nail polish. Last year, if all of you will recall, the theme was "something that disappears." Seriously, where do I come up with this stuff? I'll be here all week, people.

Baking Day

The finished product- ready to get rid of before I eat them!!

The ladies- photo courtesy of Scott (please excuse the sweatpants and exhaustion- baking is hard work!!)

Tradition! Tradition!! (music interlude) Tradition!! In case you were wondering, that was a little diddy from one of my favorite musicals, Fiddler on the Roof. Every year, two of my besties, Jenna and Megan come over and pretend to be Martha Stewart. I pretend to be Giada. ( I would have picked the Barefoot Contessa, but Giada is way hotter). Anyways, we each pick a recipe and we make a few different kinds of holiday treats to give to our beloved families and friends. It's also an excuse for us to eat yummy soup and drink wine, and have good conversation. But yeah, I guess the giving away of the cookies is a good reason as well:)

Miss B chose the tree

I love getting our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving every year. I was especially excited because this year we have our little rainbow sprinkle to share it with. Though Scott and I always joke that we are way more excited then she is, and that she will never remember any of it, we set out to get our tree the same day we do every year. I had Scott hold my stylish diaper bag and unwrap the trees while me and Sprinkley inspected them. He began undoing what I knew was going to be the perfect tree and suddenly our little Sprinkley was so thrilled, she became Stinkley. I knew it was the right choice this year.

Volunteering

My father put together an opportunity to give a couple of weeks ago at the local nursing home. My friend Shannon came along. We were given the task of decorating a tree for a 95 year old woman named Virginia and her husband. It was apparent who ran that ship. Virginia had very definite ideas of how the tree was to be decorated. Smallest ornaments on top, and then middle sized in (where else?) the middle, and finally the largest on the bottom. She was a very sweet old lady, and was very appreciative of the work we put in.

Goodbye Chad and Rachel!!

Our sweet friends Chad and Rachel have moved to Colorado. To bid them adieu, we had them over our place and had some good food and wine. The cuisine for us four was provided by Sonny's Pizza, here in San Clemente, the wine, courtesy of a little vineyard in Napa, Miss B stuck to her normal specialty- my breast.

Note to Speidi

Of all couples that I find repulsive (Brad and Angelina, Lindsay and her girlfriend etc.) YOU are the absolute worst. I find you both to be attention- needy, annoying, whiny and stupid. Heidi- has it not occurred to your miniscule pea-brain that you have been alienated from all of your friends and family, and that you now have NO ONE besides this half-wit to hang out with? And PLEASE stop defending him, everyone hates him, your kind words about Spencer are wasted on me. Spencer- I think you are the biggest LOSER in the world and if I saw you in real life I wouldn't hesitate to go up to you and slap you right on your top ramen-for-beard- chin. Please both of you- GO AWAY and stop gracing the cover of US Weekly. It makes me NOT want to buy it.
